About me

Hi, I’m Holly- a psychotherapist specialising in OCD and trauma.
Working with OCD and trauma requires careful attention to the patterns that maintain distress. OCD can quietly lead us into rituals or mental habits that feed the anxiety and intrusive thoughts we are trying to overcome. Trauma can leave us on edge, replaying difficult memories or struggling with trust, confidence and feeling safe in our own lives.
For OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a highly effective therapy that helps you face fears in a safe, controlled way. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps you build tolerance to uncertainty and fear- so intrusive thoughts lose their power over you.
If you struggle with perfectionism or feelings of not being good enough, you’re not alone. These patterns often stem from deep-rooted experiences. Through inner child work, we’ll explore and heal these past wounds- helping you rebuild self-confidence and develop a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
During therapy, I watch closely for the subtle patterns that keep these symptoms alive, making sure nothing slips through the gaps.
I love helping clients with OCD because we get to sift through the chaos, identifying the core habits and thought patterns that fuel distress and then build practical strategies to regain control. With trauma, I guide clients gently through the emotional and physical impact of difficult experiences, helping them to feel grounded, understood and able to reclaim their life.
I specialise in pre or post pregnancy (mums, dads and parents). Being a new parent is a trying time and having 2 children myself, it can be incredibly hard to cope. I am passionate about helping people to manage this transition. Having been through my own struggles and therapy; particularly following the post-partum period with my youngest, I have a greater understanding of the confusion and frustration that can arise when we wrestle with our mental health. Depression and anxiety conditions keep us trapped within the chaos of our symptoms and without treatment it can be hard to see a path through.
My past clients often describe me as insightful- I hold your symptoms in mind and notice the small but important patterns that can make a real difference. If you are looking for consistency in your management of anxiety, intrusive thoughts or the lingering effects of trauma, I provide a supportive, structured space to build lasting change. You can expect me to be kind and honest, shining a gentle light on habits that need updating so you can feel more confident, resilient and free to live life as yourself.
OCD, anxiety and struggling with past events can show up in many ways:

- Needing to check or replay things to feel sure you haven’t done something wrong
- Doubting yourself constantly, even over everyday things
- Feeling anxious if things don’t feel ‘right’ or certain
- Avoiding triggers because of how uncomfortable they feel
- Feeling ashamed, guilty or confused about past events or about your thoughts
- Feeling constantly on edge, jumpy or easily startled
- Replaying upsetting memories or experiencing nightmares
- Feeling numb, detached or disconnected from yourself or others
- Avoiding places, people or situations that remind you of difficult experiences
- Struggling with guilt, shame or self blame
- Finding it hard to relax or feel safe in everyday life
- Feeling emotionally overwhelmed, quick to tears and shame or easily triggered
